Love Me. Love Me Not.

Aloha! Thank you for coming back. :) I'm really happy that I advertised on my facebook page, about my blog. I got a few more readers and that is AWESOME! ;) Now for the real reason for today's post.

Day 2: Something you love about yourself.
Hmm... What DO I love about myself? I think it's the fact that I can make friends easily and that I try to have a positive outlook on everything, and I try to make other people happy. Not in the sense of doing everything to please them, which sometimes I do, but just trying to make their day happier. I hate it when people are feeling down. I don't know who actually likes it, but you know what I mean. I think I make friends easily because I try to be happy and I try hard to spread it. And probably, too, because I giggle and smile a lot. Yeah, I said giggle. You know it's true. I laugh, but I usually giggle. :D

I got to hang out w/ some family friends today, the Titus family. It was so fun! I went and learned some make up techniques w/ my Aunty Bonnie, and then we met up w/ Uncle Paul and one of their sons, David, for dinner. It was so nice to see them again and to play make up w/ Aunty Bonnie. She's a Mary Kay consultant and I use some of the Mary Kay products. But she gave me some awesome tips and let me know about some great products. Maybe one day I'll be a Mary Kay gal, too! :) I think it'd be fun. Oh and don't you worry. I won't be one of those crazy ladies that hound you about having parties and getting stuff. It'd be a casual thing. No pressure! Hello, it's me. That's not how I roll.

Well my time is up. I still have a little homework to do. Be strong, be happy, and find the joy in your life! Come back tomorrow! Less than three you!

Truth or... Truth?!

And so it begins... Another month closer to the end of the year. Another month closer to my "star year." Another month of... well, just another month. :) Oh, if you've never heard of the whole "star year" thing, well let me drop some knowledge. (Haha, I've always wanted to say that. :D) It's the year that you turn the same age as the day you were born. For instance, my birthday is on the 28th and next year I turn 28. Get it? If not, I don't how else to explain it. I'm not quite sure what's all entailed to the "star year" thing but one of my mission companions told me about it. I think it's supposed to be a really good year. Yeah, that sounds good. :)

Alright, now for the real fun. Today starts the 30 Days of Truths Challenge! Woo-hoo! Are you as excited as I am? I hope not, I hope you're more excited because I'm not that excited, just a little excited. Hopefully I'll get more excited as the challenge continues. Wow, that was a lot of "exciteds" used in those last two sentences. :)

Day 1: Something you hate about yourself.
Am I only supposed to put one down? Well, I guess there are more things that I DON'T LIKE about myself rather than HATE. This is going to be a tough one... I suppose the thing I hate about myself is the fact that I over think things. All the TIME! Like seriously. If you didn't already know this about me, then we don't spend much time together. Sad. Anyways, in every situation I think about what's going to happen, what shouldn't happen, and what could possibly happen. I basically play the whole thing out in my head. Like a little preview runs through my head of how it's all gonna go down. You might laugh and think I'm kidding, but even as we speak, rather as I type and you read, I'm thinking about what else I'm going to write in this blog, how many of you are actually reading this, who's reading, and your reactions to it. I'm pretty much even thinking about where you are reading this, like at home, work, someone's house. Huh, I never realized how much of a mind stalker I am. Creepy! But even if I somehow don't over think a situation that is about to happen, I often over think, practically obsess, about something that already happened. I guess it's more of dwelling on the past but it's usually just one moment for a long time. I'll think about how it happened, how it could've been better if I said this or if they said that. Or if I did something different. Look at me. I'm over thinking this entire post. I told you. Moving on!

Yesterday, Isabella was playing with Carrie's phone. It was locked and she usually just pretends that she's talking to someone on it. Well, our neighbor was visiting and Isabella was doing her thing while we were all talking and then I get a text. I look at it and it's from Carrie. It said "DVD :D." Isabella totally texted me! What the heck? This little girl is too smart for her own good. She figured out how to unlock the phone and she texted me a word AND a super smiley face! I swear, she never ceases to amaze me!

Well, I better skedaddle. I'm still thinking about what else I could add to the challenge question (*rolls eyes). I hope you have a wonderful day and a most enjoyable Conference weekend! Tomorrow is the next question, so be sure to come back. Be strong, be happy, and find the joy in your life! Hollah!

Nothing but the Truth

What up yo?!

These last few days have been interesting. I, just like Karyn, have been feeling a little funky. And not in a good way. :( I'm not quite sure what's going on but I have an idea. I just hope that I can get defunked. Hmm... I guess that's not really a word but it is today. I've got some new things in the mix and I hope they work out! I'm so done w/ everything NOT working out the way I want them to. It's all about positivity and spreading it all over the mix of things.

I have been convinced to do those 30 days of truth thing. I actually didn't know about it until I read Karyn's blog and then talked to her about it. If I was cool enough, I'd make her name be the link to her blog but sadly I have yet to reach that level of coolness.

Here's the list of truth questions. I'll start it in a few days, to begin the month off right. Wow, that's gonna be a lot of posts for October...

Just a little disclaimer, please don't be offended by what my answers turn out to be. Sometimes the truth hurts but I won't be meaning it as a way to hurt anyone. It'll be more of self-discovery and an outlet for me. I'm excited and scared all at the same time. Thanks for reading guys... Be strong, be happy, and find the joy in your life!

Paparazzi

Hello kiddies! I apologize, yet again, for slacking in the blogging area. I don't have any pictures to put up and I feel like the only blog worth reading is the one with pictures.
Cut to the update...

This last weekend I went to beautiful St. George! I spent time with Karyn and met some of her friends. It was so fun! I got down there Friday and Karyn had a gig that night over at a golf course. She is part of a group called, "Waimea Trucking Company" and they are so good! There were also some dancers that performed as well. It was so nice to get a taste of home again. :)

Saturday we weren't very successful on sleeping in. We stayed up talking until about 3 am. We always stay up late, talking. I woke up to the sound of Karyn's phone getting a text message at about 8 am. I couldn't go back to sleep and because I was restless, I ended up waking up Karyn (I'm sorry). After lounging around for a few hours we went to lunch at "Two Fat Guys Pizza" and then went shopping. Then later we watched, "Date Night" and then played volleyball at church and then cards at home. I haven't played trumps in so long! It was fun to play again and to (everyone's surprise) win about 6/10 games. I was amazed! Amy was my partner and alone we aren't good at games, but together, we ROCK! :)

Sunday we went to sacrament at Karyn's ward and then we met up with Grandma and Grandpa for my ride home. It was a short weekend but I had a blast! I miss hanging out with Karyn, like I used to. A four hour drive can really get in the way. :(

I bet you are wondering why I titled this little guy "Paparazzi." Well, wonder no more. My cousin, Pua, has a few videos on youtube of her singing. She is the definition of "ah-MAZE-zah-zing!" I wanted to share her talent with all of you. I am not bragging or whatever. I am just so happy to have her for my cousin and to be in contact with her again. Hope you all like it! Be happy, be strong, and find the joy in your life!

The great outdoors

This past weekend was a blast! The girls and I went camping at Strawberry Reservoir with the Scobells, the Munions, Sanford and Scott. We had so much fun! There was fishing, catching crawdads, roasting 'mallows and hot dogs, and a ton of fun! Not to mention a lot of campfire smoke inhalation. :)

Siting around the campfire on our last day

The trip was a success, even with thunderstorms and lightning. Heidi caught a fish the first day and then two more fish were caught the next day. We had a lot of crawdads but we threw back a cooler full since we didn't eat them. That was the first time I had crawdads and they are pretty tasty. They really are just little lobsters. :) Oh, and Dave brought up the ATV and a dirt bike. Again, loads of fun! We are going to plan our next camp out soon, so we can all go again before the weather gets too cold.

Thanks everyone for making my first camp out in Utah a blast! Can't wait for the next one! Be strong, be happy, and find the joy in your life!

Weekend adventures

This past weekend was way fun! It actually started on Wednesday for me. I know, that doesn't count as the weekend but too bad. :) It's counting today.

Wednesday- Pohai came over to my place and hung out pretty much all day. We picked up Emily during her lunch hour and had lunch at JCW's. They're actually pretty good. They use REAL crispy bacon on their burgers! Then after Emily was finished with work, we all went back to Provo and I slept over at the Blue House.

Thursday- In all honesty, not a lot happened but Pohai made me breakfast and we hung out. She cleaned the house and I did some homework.

Friday- Dave and Heidi's sealing and reception! It was so fun! I love those two so much! :) They are so perfect for one another it almost hurts. Heidi was especially gorgeous this day and Dave was looking good in pink. I was privileged enough to attend the sealing and it was so sweet! There was a little luncheon after with their families and the girls and I were also invited. Woo-hoo! Never been to a wedding luncheon before. The reception was very simple but so adorable! Loved it! When it was time to go, Dave and Heidi danced out the door to "Walk it Out." Duh, what other song would you walk out to?

Saturday- Shopping and lunch with the girls. One of Emily's co-workers came with us out to South Towne and we went to Torrid. We had lunch at Sweet Tomato and then later we went to Jordan's Landing shopping center and went to a few shops out there. It was just window shopping for me but it was fun, even though we shopped ALL DAY! I know I know. That's every girl's dream come true but not mine! I don't like to shop for long periods of time. When I go shopping for myself, that's the only exception for taking long. Otherwise, I'm done after about an hour. Then we had dinner at Fuddruckers and then home for some much needed rest.

Sunday- Went to church at my old ward and learned about bed bugs. Dude, no joke. They are a serious health issue if you don't take it serious. If you ever have this problem, you need to get rid of them professionally or they will keep coming back! Did you know that bed bugs don't need oxygen, can survive cold temperatures, and don't become noticeable until after five times of feeding? They also have a preferred blood type, so one person can be more prone to bits than another. Gross! Sorry for grossing you out, but I thought I'd share some info in case you need it. After church we relaxed at the Blue House and had lasagna for dinner and then some toffee and chocolate chip cookies, while watching "Life is Beautiful."

That was my weekend update y'all! Hope you had an enjoyable weekend as well. Make the most of the rest of your summer, as it is winding down rapidly.

As I was writing this post, there was a song that was playing in my head and I thought I'd share it with you.

I apologize for the lack of my closing quote in a few of my previous posts. But no worries, it is here once again! Be strong, be happy, and find the joy in your life!

Online dating scene

Yep. I jumped on that band wagon. My sister and I had talked about me joining an online dating site, last Christmas. I think we gave me a year and if I wasn't in a relationship or had any candidates then I would sign up by my 28th birthday. Which is rapidly approaching. Well, not really. It's only August and I have until February. As I was contemplating my next move, I decided to jump on. I signed up on...
I was reluctant. I really didn't want to pay another monthly fee, especially to meet guys, but after two weeks or so I took the plunge. I am now a full member of an online dating service! I'm still not quite sure how I feel about it but I guess it could only help my chances, right? Now it's just a matter of waiting to see if any of the guys I messaged will respond. Don't you love learning patience? I know I do (sarcasm? yes).
